If you are jealous of your geeky linux friends that have  Beryl  running under linux, you should check out Yod’m 3D, a small application for Windows XP / Vista that will give you a decent substitute for the “Desktop Cube” effect. Without further ado, here’s a nice screenshot of it in action. In the screenshot, you’ll notice the stars in the background. If you want to customize the background picture, you can replace the jpg image in the program folder: If you want each desktop to have it’s own wallpaper, you can change the wallpaper for that desktop by switching to the desktop and then set the wallpaper the normal windows way. I found that the transitions are just a little bit slow (especially on older hardware), but tolerable. I probably wouldn’t use this on a regular basis, but it’s a nice piece of eye candy to show off. If you miss Ubuntu, but want the hardware compatibility of Windows, you can configure Windows XP with Ubuntu themes. You can even have the spinning cube effect. Download and install  UX Multi-patcher . This replaces a Windows system DLL to allow you to install new windows themes. Be sure to follow the instructions carefully. Download and extract the  Human theme  somewhere (eg your desktop). Go to the extracted folder and double-click on Human.msstyle. When the display properties dialog pops up, click Ok. Now get the cube effect by installing  Shock 4Way 3D . Wow, it's just like Ubuntu, except that  it works!

Aircrack-ng is a tool pack to monitor and analyse wireless networks around you and put them to the test. Check how safe your wireless password  is or unlock your neighbour's wireless network. It can guess WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy) and WPA (Wi-Fi Protected Access) passwords. Once you run the program, you'll be able to capture data packs of a certain network thanks to one of the tools in the pack: Airodump, an sniffer that willl collect data packages so you can exam them later. Once you'll have captured enough packages, you only have to load them on Aircrack  and Aircracrack will decode them and will tell you the  password  of that wireless network so you can access it. Notes: You need to run the file Aircrack-ng GUI.exe in the 'bin' folder in order to access the user interface.
